To keep your smile fresh and healthy, Dr. Williams recommends that you visit 21st Century Dental twice each year for a checkup and hygiene appointment. Our gentle hygienists will take digital X-rays and intraoral photos, assess your gums for disease, and thoroughly clean your teeth. If periodontal disease is present, we may recommend scaling, root planing, antibiotic therapy, or periodontal laser treatment.
Dr. Williams will use the DIAGNOdent laser for a touch-less exam of your dentition and perform an oral cancer screening. After the exam, Dr. Williams will present digital images to show you his findings on a chairside monitor. He encourages patient interaction and questions. Once you understand your state of oral health and his recommendations, you can decide on treatment.
